Saturday Stories – 9 Months!

I’m still nursing, which is awesome since my goal has only been 3 months at a time. At Selah’s 9 month check-up, her doctor said the end is just weaning slowly. So I’m all in. Can’t believe I will end up nursing a whole year! Very proud of myself. It was truly dedication. Anyway, Selah nurses 3 times a day and also eats 3 meals. She is all on table food – eating everything we do. This past week she had fish, plantains, chicken curry, black bean hamburger, and shepherd’s pie. She is quickly becoming our garbage disposal. She hasn’t refused anything. Hope it stays this way 🙂

At her 9 month check up, she was 18 pounds. So the picture is wrong but she was 17 pounds the day I took the picture. I can’t believe that she only has a few more pounds before she has to change car seats.

Selah isn’t a long napper. But she does sleep well at night. Still two naps a day that are typically 40-60 minutes  at 10:00 and 2:00. And she goes to bed around 7:00 pm. Most mornings she gets up around 7:00 am.

Wake Time
It just keeps getting better! Selah is pulling up and cruising. I’m guessing she will be walking in the next few weeks. She loves playing with her brother. She basically just follows him everywhere. We are blessed because Finn loves playing with her too. What a joy it is to watch them play!

She is still in the 6-9 month size.

Fun fact
Selah said her first word – “dada” of course! And she also learned to wave. Very cute! Here’s a video of her saying “dada” when I’m telling her to say “mama.” Silly girl!
